West Berkshire District Schools – 10th May 2019

Report from Andy Tuttle. Full results will be added once they are available.

There were some very convincing wins by NAC members at this seasons West Berkshire District Schools Championship held at Palmer Park on Friday.

Josie and Luci Robertson (St Barts) both led from the gun to the finish to win the under 15 & under 17 1500m races respectively. Maisie Jeger (Kennet) appeared to have the under 17 300m title wrapped up in the first 150m, and there were two first time wins for Miriam Cooper (St Barts) in the under 15 800m & Callum Potts (Trinity) in the under 17 800m. Oliver Brashaw worked through well to take the runner up spot in the under 17 1500m, all athletes in the top two positions are now invited to represent the West Berks team at this seasons Berkshire Schools at Palmer Park on Sat 8thJune.

Junior sessions – 9th May – Cancelled

I have made the difficult decision to cancel the session at Fifth Road tonight (hopefully in enough time for everyone to sort their evening plans).

It is raining now and the showers are set to continue. The field is very wet making it unsafe to jump and throw.
Please do pass this message on,
