London Marathon – Draw for Newbury AC allocated places

This week the London Marathon has been sending out acceptance and rejection letters for the 2017 race to those that entered the ballot. Congratulations to all club members that have been lucky enough to get a positive response.

Newbury AC as a British Athletics associated club can apply for two club entry places for next year’s race. This application is open to EA affiliated clubs between Monday 24th October and Monday 28th November.  So for those club members that were not successful there is still a chance to gain entry to the race via a random draw for these places. To enter the draw there are just two criteria:

  • You must have been a first claim member of Newbury AC since 1st October 2015
  • You must have entered and been unsuccessful in the 2017 London Marathon ballot and are able to hand or send via email proof of this to road running captain James Craggs by Thursday 25th October.

We will make a further announcement regarding the date the club draw will take place after 25th October.
