Weekend overview 23rd/24th February

English XC championship – Leeds


Andy Tuttle celebrated his 60th birthday with a 1512th place finish in his 34th consecutive national XC championship. Joining him in the senior men’s race were Dan Tuttle (465th) and Phil Marshall (539th). Izzy Fry finished 22nd in the Junior Women’s race. Sophie Byatt finished 161st in the U15G race. Ellis Russell finished 252nd in the U17M race. Catherine Tuttle finished 808th in the senior women’s race.

Scottish XC championship – Falkirk

Representing his university Alex Muir had a great performance with a 39th place finish of 719 runners.

Jaw Dropper Ultra Marathon

Danny Hawkins finished in 1st place, covering 36.1 miles in 4:54

Wokingham half marathon

On an unusually warm February morning 13 members competed in the 2nd round of the club road running championship and 1st round of the Berkshire road running championship. James Craggs led them home with a 1:14:12 in 36th position. The clubs first female home was Victoria Duncan with a new PB of 1:23:47 in 190th (11th female) position. Mike Sheridan was first M65 in a time of 1:26:06.Rachel Allen set a new F45 club record in 1:32:17

Hillingdon 10km

Mike Robbins finished in 6th place with a new PB of 35:41

Dirty running marathon

Danny Hawkins finished in 16th place with a 4:12

Pewsey Terminator

Dave Wright finished 71st in 1:41:31 on the tough 12 mile multi terrain course.

England Athletics U20 championships – Sheffield

Trinity O’Connor achieved a new PB of 1.61m in the high jump on her way to a 10th place finish.
