Weekend overview 6th/7th April

Charlotte Payne continued her strong start to the year with a improvement to her U20 club hammer record, achieving a European qualifying standard, with a throw of 59.97 m.

White horse half marathon

6 members took part in the 4th round of the road running championship, leading them home was James Knight who finished in 2nd place overall and broke the V45 club record by nearly 3 minutes with a 1:13:02, Phil Marshall set a new PB of 1:18:42 in 15th position. Other finishers were Nigel Popplewell (1:27:49), Dave Wright (1:34:59), Stephen Ferriday (1:38:49) and Charlotte Fowler (1:38:47)

Manchester marathon

5 members took part – Barry Regan (2:52:16 – PB), Michal Szczepanczyk (2:58:30), Benjamin Bliss (3:27:49), Edyta Wilk (3:30:41) and Ruth Lambert (3:56:15)

Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Spring Open

Mike Robbins, Emma Downie and Rebecca Downie started their outdoor track seasons with 4:22:65, 5:11:29 and 5:29:99 respectively in the 1500 m

Combe Gibbet To Overton 16

Mireille Cook was 3rd Female (48th overall) in a time of 2:06:53. Other finishers were Sue Van Huyssteen (2:21:52), Tania Whitby (2:31:33) and Ady May (2:31:33)

Wessex Young Athletics League – Round 1

The junior team started their track season in Winchester with a 6th place overall finish. The highlight of the day was the a win for the U13B Relay team.
