At tomorrows junior training session we will have the second hand spikes out ready for the coming XC season. We just ask for a £5 donation per pair.
Also, all athletes competing need to wear a NAC T-shirt (U9 and U11 races) or a Vest (U13 and up races). Cath will be sorting this for E-J, so please see her to collect yours. You get your first one free but if anyone needs a new one, or a bigger one, you will need to buy it. T-shirts are £10 and vests are £18.
Sophie, Miriam & Maddy
The South of England Cross Country Relay Championship took place at Wormwood Scrubs on Saturday 19th October.
The mens A Team (James Craggs, James Knight, Tobias Allen & Steve Barnes) finished a fantastic 10th, which equals the club’s best ever performance achieved in 2017.
The mens B Team (Phil Marshall, Ben Wickens, Harry Russell & Will Tyson) finished in 22th place, which was the 5th fastest B team.
The quickest times over the 2.8 mile course were achieved by James Knight 14:43, James Craggs 14:48 and Tobias Allen 15:07.
The club also took an inexperienced U15 girls team of Miriam Cooper, Sophie Bhatt and Maddy Leek who finished in 23rd position and gained valuable championship race exposure.
Club social – Bowling – 9th November
Matt Green is organising the next club social, 10 pin bowling at Lakeside Super Bowl. The price is £9.95 for 2 games payable on the night.

Road/Track & Field Presentation Evening 2019 – 28th December 2019
The end of season review and presentation of awards for the road and track & field sections of the club will be held on the 28th December at 7pm. The venue will be Frank Hutchings Community Hall, Thatcham.
The night will also feature the presentation of sports personality award. Please let Mike Robbins / E-J Bailey know of any nominations for the award by the 30th November.
Please bring a plate for the buffet, as well as your own drinks, as there is no bar.

Representing England Andy Ind finished 65th in 2:43:38. Andy’s time was just 20s off his PB which he set 5 years ago.
Four members took part in the Abingdon marathon. Mike Wheeler (91st) and Graham Stent (155th) set new PB’s of 2:57:09 and 3:03:47. They were joined by Barry Regan (2:59:21/126th) and Mark Flitton (2:59:49/133rd).
Great South Run
Mick Cornwall completed his 30th great south run in 2:11:47 to become 1 of 7 people to have completed every race. Joining him at this years race were Hannah Rees (1:14:33), Brian Matthews (1:16:22) and Melissa Hughes (1:31:43)
The Oxford mail XC league has confirmed that round 1 will take place on the 3rd November. Please note dogs are not permitted on site.

If there are any errors or discrepancies on this table, please respond to Conor McGrory (email@example.com) with:
- Details of the error and correction required.
- Details of your race/time that require correction/insertion.
- An event race results URL for verifying your result.
Any discrepancies need to be raised before Sunday the 3rd of November 2019. After this time, the table will be closed and the results will be formally published as a final version.

Mike Sheridan took the V70 victory in the Chicago marathon in a fantastic time of 3:04:55, breaking the previous club record by over 2 hours.
Greenham Trust Step up 4 good 10 km
James Knight won the race in 35:46, Tobias Allen set a new PB on his way to 2nd in 36:00, Jeff Bird was 4th/1st V40 in 37:26 and Rachel Allen was 22nd/2nd lady in 44:23. Continue reading
Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge will attempt to run a sub-2 hour marathon on Saturday 12 October 2019. This event will be televised on the BBC red button. The time of the event is TBC and viewers should check with the BBC for the exact time of the event (likely to be between 05-0900 hrs).
